This product can be used for exterior doors and to back up a safe room door! Make sure that the doors you install this system on are solid doors! If you are creating a safe room, the door needs to be a solid metal lined door. This product is both pick resistant, bump resistant, and has a key chamber disabling feature! In other words this lock can be secured at night, and locked preventing it from being opened even with a key! This lock comes with a 6 tumbler pin system, a standard lock has 5 tumbler pins! This next product is the best way you can go to secure your exterior doors to the max! Remember that this is just reinforces the door jamb and you still need to install better locks that can’t be bumped! If you can afford to install both of these two products, you will have door security that just won’t ever fail!

In the above video is an easier to install door jamb reinforcement product! Safe Homes International Inc 55724 “Strikemaster II” Pro Door Frame ReinForcer – This is the Strike Master 2! This product just reinforces the lock side of your doors and not the hinge side! If you decided to get this product I suggest taking out 2 screws per hinge and replacing them with 3″ screws! Don’t forget to increase the security of your lock assemblies so that they cant be picked or bumped!

Steel Door Armor SDA1 Door Security - This is another product that is similar called Steel Door Armor!

There are also products that reinforce the area around the knob and deadbolt! They help if you exterior door doesn’t have a metal plating and is all wood! DOOR REINFORCER BRS 9565 [Misc.]
